The road to success is always under construction, CybageAsha completed the internal road construction and ensured better infrastructure for the villagers of Mhalawadi village in Bhor taluka of Pune district.

A quaint little village with 152 households and 752 population, all it needed was better roads for commute. Ritu Nathani, Managing trustee CybagAsha, handed over the project in a formal ceremony held at the Mahalwadi village. Greg Wiggins, former client and present Cybagian was present with his family for the ceremony.

CybageAsha helped villagers construct 3 roads of 450 meters in length. As the village comes under the heavy rainfall region, it becomes difficult for villagers to commute. Agricultural advancement, livestock development, artificial insemination, wadi development, income generation, and skill development are some of the interventions that CybageAsha is implementing in this area along with their implementation partner—BAIF.

Recently villagers started cultivating vegetable crops in their fields to get additional income apart from their traditional paddy cultivation. Total 191 demo plots were developed in this area for the same. Some of the crops introduced in this region are Bhindi, Tomato, Bitter Gourd, Vatana, Chavali, Brinjal, Cucumber, Marigold, and Jasmin. Ritu Nathani also felicitated Komal Bodke a student from Mhalawadi village who scored 97% in her SSC exams.

Encouraging the village student Ritu said, “Cybagekhushboo trust will support the deprived and promising students for their higher education”.
